Protecting your identity and personal information is of paramount importance to FraudLock. While we cannot disclose the full details of out security procedures, we can share the following steps that we take to protect you.
- All information you submit to FraudLock is safely transferred onto, and reside solely on our highly secure multi location servers using a market leading SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology.
- We actively utilise a variety of techniques to provide multiple layers of protection against network intrusion, and employ the best industry professionals to constantly monitor, protect and develop our infrastructure.
- All FraudLock employees are subject to rigorous background checks. Access to customer information is strictly limited on a need to know basis, and can only be done from registered FraudLock office locations.
FraudLock Anti-Phishing Policy
FraudLock never sends emails requesting personal details! Here are three ways to spot a phishing email and verify a legitimate email from FraudLock.
- Never respond to emails that ask you to confirm/update/verify your account data at FraudLock by visiting a given link. All account update emails from FraudLock would contain language such as: "There is a billing issue that needs your attention. Please log into your account at FraudLock for more details". We would never provide a link to access your account, period!
- To update your FraudLock account, you should always go directly to our site by typing the FraudLock URL (http://www.FraudLock.co.uk) into the browser address bar.
- Always make sure the URL of the website you visit has the actual FraudLock URL (/) in it. Bad spelling and grammar is also a dead giveaway, as we never send out emails that misspell "FraudLock." Be extremely careful when words in emails are "clickable" and you can't initially see the URL to which you are being taken.
- Consider using a service that helps spot phishing sites. Popular services include: EarthLink's ScamBuster Toolbar, Google's SafeBrowsing plug-in for Firefox browsers and McAfee's Site Advisor.
